All you need to Know about Parrot Grande is here

What is Parrot Grande?

Parrot Grande is a weekend event filled with music, fun, golf and camaraderie. It’s also the Arizona Parrot Head Club’s (AZPHC) main fundraiser each year.

When is Parrot Grande?

Parrot Grande will be held on August 29 - 31, 2008. The action will start on Friday, Aug. 29 and end on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008.

Where is Parrot Grande taking place?

Parrot Grande will be at its original location, the Francisco Grande Resort in Casa Grande, AZ. Casa Grande is on I-10, pretty much smack dab in between Phoenix and Tucson. Francisco Grande was the spring training home of the San Francisco Giants back in the day and is nicely secluded from any neighbors so we can make as much noise as we want. We will be the primary guests at the resort so we can be as silly as we like.

There are two room areas at the Francisco Grande. The Tower is in the main building and the Courtyard is actually nearer the pool and restaurant. We'll look to fill the Tower first then spill into the Courtyard as needed.

Who benefits from Parrot Grande?

The West Valley Child Crisis Center (WVCCC) is the main charity for AZPHC in 2008. WVCCC does wonderful work providing a safe haven for abused and neglected children. All net raffle and silent auction proceeds from Parrot Grande will go directly to WVCCC.

What happened to the Balcony Decorating Contest?

We're taking a year off to give everyone more time to plan something really phabulous for next year.

How can I help?

Glad you asked. Parrot Grande could not be as fun and great as it is without the help of some volunteers. We need people for setup, teardown, help with the raffle and to man the mini-mart/silent auction room. We’ll try to limit your time to about an hour depending on how many people sign up. Remember, many hands make light work so get your buddies to sign up to help, too!

The MOST IMPORTANT Thing you can do is "SEEK THE TREASURE" by asking for Donations for our Silent Auction and Raffle... Anything is a good prize! Remember, it all goes to charity!

When is the Golf Tournament?

The Parrot Head Golf Tournament will be Saturday morning, starting at about 7 am (time to be confirmed) There’s a 9 Hole Tourney for the duffers and hackers and an 18 Hole Event for the more serious fairway goers.
